Geneva Martin- Executive Director
Geneva Martin came to CASA in August of 2007, after working in the school system since 1985 serving as teacher, mentor and friend. The last seven years she worked with the Parker County Cooperative Services, Springtown ISD and Weatherford ISD serving as a homebound instructor. Her experience with students in foster care gave way to her interest in the children of Parker County under the care of Child Protective Services. Geneva comes with a dedicated commitment to be the “voice” for our children, the “eyes and ears” for our judges, and the determination to insure that no child in Parker County, Texas will have to stand alone through the difficult legal process.

Kathy Smart- Program Director
Kathy Smart was introduced to CASA in the late 1990’s when she intervened on behalf of her own grandchild, bringing abuse/neglect of this child to the attention of authorities. Through the court process she grew to respect and admire her grandchild’s Court Appointed Volunteer Advocate, who was relentless in her efforts to prove to the court; returning this child to her parents would not be in her best interest.
Grateful and wanting to ‘give back’, Kathy volunteered as a CASA in a neighboring county while working with our local Judiciary and Texas CASA to bring a CASA Program to Parker County.
Kathy served as Chair of CASA of Parker County Steering Committee, was a member of the Board of Directors and served as a Volunteer Advocate before joining the organization as Program Director in August 2007.
